Festival Planning Circle

Turn your fermentation event into reality – with structure, momentum, and support.

If you want to host a fermentation event later this year, now is the time to start.

From experience, planning a successful event – whether small or large – needs at least six months of lead time. That’s why the Festival Planning Circle launches on March 17th: to give you the space, structure, and support to plan properly for events happening in September and beyond.

This is a small, supportive monthly circle for Pro members who want help moving from idea to delivery – without having to figure everything out alone.

Monthly support and accountability

Each month focuses on what matters most right now, so you’re not overwhelmed or guessing what to do next.

Inside the Festival Planning Circle, you’ll get:

  • A monthly live session with Flora Spivak from Somerville Fermentation Festival
Practical guidance on what to focus on this month, plus open Q&A (recorded, with replays)

  • Clear, actionable milestones
So you know when to make key decisions — and when not to

  • Practical tools and templates
Including templates (application forms for vendors, emails, press releases etc), risk assessments, pricing considerations, and planning checklists

  • Guidance on logistics and money
Pricing, ticketing, collaborators, capacity, and what’s realistic for one person to take on

  • A private group chat space
To ask questions, sense-check ideas, and learn alongside others planning similar events

This is a practical, collaborative space — designed to help you actually do the thing, not just think about it.

Who's it for?

The Festival Planning Circle is for fermenters, educators or events coordinators who:

  • Are planning a fermentation-focused event or gathering

  • Want structure, clarity, and accountability

  • Value peer support and shared learning

  • Are ready to invest in making their event actually happen

You don’t need to be planning a huge festival — small, local, and experimental ideas are very welcome.

How it works

This is a Fermentation Pro Hub exclusive

The Festival Planning Circle is a premium, small-group programme available only to Pro Hub members — designed for fermenters who are serious about making their event actually happen.

It’s intentionally kept affordable, which is why it’s members-only.

Here’s what you get and what it costs:

Fermentation Pro Hub membership — £15/month

Running a fermentation business can be isolating. The Pro Hub is a working space for people doing this professionally — educators, small-batch producers, event organisers, teachers — who want more than moral support.

It’s practical by design: think kraut mobs to help small businesses gain visibility in their community. And coming soon: cultured supper clubs and gut health seminars as new revenue streams — guided by people who’ve already done them successfully.

As a Pro member you also get full access to the wider Fermentation Hub — seasonal tutorials, ingredient deep-dives, and live Q&As. The craft doesn’t stop being relevant when it becomes your livelihood.

Festival Planning Circle add-on — £20/month Your place in an exclusive, small group working through the real process of planning a fermentation event — in real time, alongside Flora as she plans her own next event. You’ll get:

  • Monthly live Q&As with Flora
  • Clear milestones so you always know what to focus on next
  • Ready-to-use templates (vendor applications, press releases, risk assessments, and more) to take the stress out of planning
  • A private group space to ask questions and sense-check ideas

This isn’t an open-ended commitment. The circle runs until your event is planned and ready to go – then you’re off to the races

Total investment: £35/month.
